A Quiet Morning at the Park — Matcha Latte & Moss Dreams ☕🌿

This morning, I accompanied my mom to her doctor’s appointment. The waiting room was packed, and I didn’t feel right taking up a seat when I was perfectly healthy — so I slipped out and headed to the park just across the street!

It turned out to be the best decision. 🌿

Matcha Latte from Doutor ☕

Before heading out, I stopped by the Doutor café inside the hospital and grabbed an iced matcha latte. Doutor is a popular Japanese coffee chain — kind of like Japan’s version of a cozy neighborhood café. The matcha latte was so creamy and refreshing on a warm morning!

The Park Was Gorgeous 🌸

The park was absolutely beautiful. There were flower beds bursting with colorful flowers in full bloom — orange, pink, and white all mixed together. So beautiful! It honestly felt like a little paradise in the middle of the city!

I also spotted some lovely moss growing along the ground. It made me think — I’d love to try making a moss terrarium someday! Have you ever tried one? They’re so popular in Japan right now. 🌱

Vending Machines in the Park 🥤

One thing I always appreciate about Japanese parks — there’s almost always a vending machine nearby! On a hot day like today, it’s such a lifesaver for kids. Cold drinks are right there whenever they need them, which makes it so much easier to prevent heatstroke. In Japan’s humid summers, staying hydrated is really important, so having a vending machine in the park is honestly a big deal for parents! 🙌

A Little Moment of Peace

Honestly, sometimes the unexpected little breaks in your day turn out to be the most refreshing. A quiet park, a cold matcha latte, and some beautiful flowers — that’s all you need for a happy morning in Japan. 😊

Do you have a favorite spot to relax near you? Let me know in the comments!
