My Must-Have Bento Tools from the 100 Yen Shop 🍱

Every morning, I make a bento box for my child before school. Over the years, I’ve found a few simple tools that make bento-making so much easier — and they’re all from the 100 yen shop! (That’s about $0.70 USD each!)

🌸 Silicone & Paper Cups

These little cups are a game-changer! They keep each side dish separate so the flavors don’t mix together. They also make the bento look colorful and cute. You can find them in so many designs — flowers, animals, seasonal patterns. Paper ones are disposable, but silicone ones can be washed and reused!

🍢 Bento Picks

These cute little picks make eating so much easier — no sticky fingers! My child loves them because of the fun designs. I have dinosaurs, soccer balls, flowers… There are so many to choose from. Some are reusable plastic, which is great for the environment too.

🍋 Antibacterial Sheets

This one is especially important in summer! Japan’s humid heat can cause food to spoil quickly. I always place one of these antibacterial sheets in every bento box. They use silver ion technology to slow down bacteria growth. Such a small thing, but it gives me real peace of mind as a mom.

All of these are available at Japanese 100 yen shops like Daiso or Seria. If you ever visit Japan, don’t miss the bento section — it’s like a treasure chest for home cooks! 🛒✨

What bento tools do you use? Let me know in the comments!
